Went to Teresa, our Spanish paperwork helper today. Discovered that Lee´s NIE has got the wrong birth date on it. Obviously should have checked it when we received it, sitting in Spanish policed station was a bit intimidating and you might have thought the police would get their records straight.
Perverse thing is it has been used to open a bank account, buy a house (with a Notary and a lawyer involved) and to buy a car with documents from the DGT all of of whom also had a copy of my passport.
Anyway Teresa says it can be corrected at the Town Hall office, but may need to visit, she will determine when she next goes there.
